The Challenge: A High-Authority Platform Invisible at the Moment of Highest Intent

Nexus Correspondent Bank & B2B Fintech serves the most demanding audience on the commercial web: B2B banking executives, CFOs, Chief Risk Officers, and credit union decision-makers who conduct vendor due diligence with high-density, authoritative answers — not generic consumer finance fluff. Yet the platform's highest-value commercial hubs — Relationship Profitability & Loan Pricing, CECL compliance, and Treasury Management — were structurally working against themselves.

A single commercial topic was dispersed across four primary tabs and two contradictory technical patterns: the Profitability hub over-fragmented into indexable sub-directory pages (Overview, Platform, Comparison) that competed for the same intent cluster, while the CECL hub buried its pricing and FAQ content behind client-side JavaScript hash silos that search engines discard entirely. A fourth path dumped high-intent buyers into a global tag archive with no conversion path — an unbounded crawl-budget sink.

The result: link-equity dilution across near-orphan pages, internal keyword cannibalization, and a body of content that modern AI answer engines could not assemble into a single, high-confidence source of truth. When a community-bank CFO asks an AI tool to shortlist profitability and CECL vendors, the citation goes to the competitor with a unified page.

The Diagnostic Baseline: Enterprise GEO Scorecard

I scored the flagship profitability product page against four specialized Generative Engine Optimization metrics engineered for enterprise B2B fintech — measuring how confidently a RAG-based retriever could extract and cite the page for CFO-level vetting queries.

The Strategic Cure: One Authoritative Asset per Vertical

1. Structural Re-Architecture of the Product Silos

I mapped every fragmented URL, tab layer, and hash anchor to a single canonical parent page per vertical — Loan Pricing positioned against precision competitors, CECL Compliance, and Treasury — via an 11-row consolidation matrix specifying one-hop 301s, on-page anchor sections, and server-rendering of every hash silo. The global tag-archive detour was severed from the conversion path entirely.

Each consolidated section was engineered as a self-contained, citable passage — opening with a declarative claim that co-locates capability, governing standard, and customer segment — so RAG pipelines and modern AI engines (ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Gemini) can chunk, embed, and quote it with confidence.
